Aaron at 3: Picking Dandelions

Image
I've come to the realization that the abundance of quality alone time I have left with Aaron is rapidly dwindling.  This year, Dylan has been at school full day, so Aaron and I have been spending a good 6-7 hours together, alone, 5 days a week.  But there's only a month left of school, and then summer comes, which means Dylan will be home with us (something I'm looking forward to), and then in the fall, Aaron starts preschool, and his school-life will only get bigger and bigger from there (and I now really know  the full impact of since we've been through it with Dylan).  Which means, we will never have this much time to just hang out together, just the two of us, again, something I really miss being able to do with Dylan.  So I've been trying to enjoy it all... well, expect the tantrums.  No one enjoys the tantrums.  Some days we do something special, some days we do hardly any thing at all.  I mean, there aren't enough words...

Aaron at Two: Going for a Walk

Image
Enjoying the outdoors on a nice day.  Aaron loves spending time outdoors, and now that it's warming up we're soaking up as much outside time as we can.  This was on a little walk around the neighborhood with a quick stop by the playground before lunch time.  It's wonderful to see all the signs of spring.

Aaron at Two (and a half)

Aaron discovered a dinosaur sticker book in Dylan's room.  He can't just wear one or two stickers on his hands, he has to wear them ALL.  I think by the time he was done he had overlapped a good dozen or so on each hand.  Sometimes when he really runs out of room he starts sticking them on my hands, or on our cheeks.  They eventually fall off, all over the house.  And then it's time to start again.

Aaron at One: Digging in the Dirt

Image
The first couple of days this month were warm enough to spend most of the day outside.  Aaron has no problem finding ways to occupy himself.  His choice at this moment was digging, throwing, and playing in some pot dirt.  I think he liked it even more than he likes playing in mulch. The idea was to move the dirt from one pot to the next, but he took it one step further by dumping the dirt from the second pot onto himself. Little bits of dirt in his hair. Look at all that fun!

Aaron at One: Nothing in Particular

Just being your typical cute and clumsy toddler.

Aaron at One: The back of his head

He is constantly running off, wanting to explore and experience everything.  I'm usually following closely behind hoping that I'm within reach if (and when) he needs help.  So this is pretty much how I see Aaron these days.

Aaron at One: Coloring

Image
Aaron has started to show an interest in drawing and coloring.  His interest lasts for a good 10 minutes before he just wants to eat the crayons and rip the paper.  We'll have to try water paints soon and see how that goes.
