Project 365: Day 123

Yesterday's picture just didn't happen.  So I'm throwing in a few extra today to make up for it.

Hey Jess!

It looks like your Project 365 is going well! I found you through the link-up at Click It Up a Notch. My wife and I are in the process of creating a new feature at The Albums to help our members begin and finish a Project 365.

I was wondering…since you have made it this far in your Project 365 what's one piece of advice you would tell someone about to embark on a Project 365?

Thanks!

HI Andrew! Thanks for your interest. I think the one piece of advice I would offer would be to think of their Project 365 as an opportunity instead of a daily chore. If someone is thinking about doing one they probably have a good reason (improve their photography skills, capture special family moments, etc...) and approaching this challenge as an opportunity to achieve that goal has helped me keep going so far. I've missed a few days here and there, and thought that maybe I should quit because it won't be a "true and complete" 365, but the reason I'm doing this is about much more than reaching a special number... so who cares if a few days are missing? At the end of the year I'll (hopefully!) be able to look back at the work and results and be proud of what I've done.

By the way, what is "The Albums"? I had a tough time googling it

That is really wise. I heard somewhere that our brains actually process things we want to do and things we have to do differently. It could be good if we remind people along the journey to pause and look up and remember why they are doing it.

Thanks for asking about The Albums. We are actually just getting started and haven't done any PR/SEO yet. Here'a a few of our albums: http://bit.ly/thekopkes if you are interested.
